Welcome to the Classic Auto Preservation Society. This blog is nothing formal, however it is in my opinion of vital importance to ALL classic auto enthusiats. Whether you are an private owner, restorer, collector, aftermarket manufacturer or distributor, auctioneer or you just plain love old cars, you can and should be involved in maintaining and defending our individual and collective rights to own, operate and maintain these rolling pieces of history.
It is my objective that by creating this blog, and possibly initiating a REAL Classic Auto Preservation Society, that this may serve to somehow untite ALL classic auto enthusiast with a common goal of preserving the hobby, in every concievable form and manner possible. For far too long internal hobby politics have created division and disharmony among fellow enthusiasts. Consider this a call to action…a call to unify under one objective – TO SAVE OUR HOBBY!
It is true that many pieces of proposed legislation are simply regional and do not affect all, or even many of us in any given instance, however keep in mind the Domino Effect…let one fall and we all fall. It is IMPERATIVE that we unite and fight all threats to our hobby, both home and abroad. Forget all of your biases and politics, we cannot be a fractured faction of Corvette owners vs Cobra owners, Europen classic vs American classics, Rat Rods vs Traditional Rods or Hot Rodders vs Low Riders. As enthusiasts we cannot afford to be divided….we must stand united and be heard or face the possibility of losing our right to own, restore and drive the cars we love. Do NOT stand idle…do something!!
SEMA has fought many great battles on behalf of the hobby, joining their action network can only aid in achieving this common goal.

I also urge you to write your local representative(s) and let your voice be heard. In the future as this blog grows we will prvide links to other represntatives as well as ivaluable information regarding proposed legislation that threatens our hobby and ways ij which you can take action and make a difference.
I will be writing here periodically regarding current proposed legislation, crush threats, the call before you crush program, etc… and will have regular contributions by fellow hobbyists and professionals from within the industry in an effort to stay on top of current happening. They will address pertinent issue and give updates when available.
Please revisit this area frequently to keep yourself, your friends and fellow classic car club members informed. Being proactive is the only means by which we can preserve our hobby.
